Day 23-Isle of Skye- headed to the West of Skye today. Visited the Tallisker Distillery and bought some whiskey which you cannot get in Sydney. Decided not to take tour but managed to have a tasting of the whiskey we were looking at buying- not bad.  We then headed to the Neist Point lighthouse which is on the western most point on Skye. Lots of one track roads with passing points to get there- fine until you met a motor home . Drive was incredibly scenic - cannot really describe adequately- lots of soaring mountains, lochs etc. pretty sure we saw Dunvegan castle in the distance. Stephen says I have been there before in 1991. I have no recollection of this so will check diary when we return. Will be cranky if he is fibbing- not really. Weather was very western Scotland- rain, wind and sun. Skye actually looks as good in the rain as sun. Went to the Oyster Shed for lunch which is this little shed near the distillery that sells unsurprisingly oysters and other bits of seafood. We had delicious crab rolls and bought some scallops to cook. Home for dinner tonight- scallops or gourmet sausages or both.
