Days 20 and 21- Edimburgh and Isle of Skye- spent a day in Edimburgh provisioning for trip to the Hebrides so we bought a white shirt for Stephen and leggings for me. As an afterthought bought some cereal, bread, juice and milk. The drive to Skye was uneventful except for the soaring hills, lochs and castles that we drove past. I'm on a castle quota so only got to the car park of one for a quick photo. Also stopped at the House of Bruar which is like Harrods in the Highlands- huge place full of food, clothes and gifts. Impressive. Cottage on Skye is on an estate. On first glance cottage is so so but decided after very comfortable nights sleep in bed and a good shower it is not too bad. We have to go off and really provision as owners left us with very little- small box of chocolates and some whiskey- nice but not so useful.
