Day 28-Uist- Stephen went off fishing for the day with a gillie and caught a large brown trout. There is even a picture to prove it. He fished from a boat in one of the many lochs- he will have to advise me later on the name. It was sunny and mild for virtually all of the day which was great for him and me who played at farm wife and did some washing and ironing. Drying clothes outside is slightly different from home. It consists of very sterdedly pegging clothes on to reasonably high clothes line in gale force winds and spending the next few hours checking to see if you have to tear out to rescue clothes from driving rain and/or from blowing into nearest sheep paddock. Don't even try to peg out any slighter smaller articles as they just end up in a twisted mess wound around said clothes line. No ironing board so improvised with kitchen table. Next you know I will be stoking fires. Day was interrupted by slightly crazy looking lady trying to convert me to Seven Day Adventism . She failed. Dinner was some pasta and wine at home as fisherman was pooped . KA also spent part of the day in competition with Will exchanging scenic photos online. He won- I could only shoot over photos of many sheep- albeit cute looking against his scenic photos from Dijon. He then taunted me with tales of the many shops there as I stared wistfully out my kitchen window into.... fields of sheep.
